Perenco UK Ltd. (PUK) restarted production from Davy gas field in the Southern North Sea (SNS) after a 5-yr shut in.

The company completed a revival project with platforms A03 and A05 producing into Perenco’s Bacton terminal at a stable rate of about 14 MMscfd.

Platform A05 wells 49/30c-A05z (in the Brown accumulation) and 49/30a-A05y (in the Boyle accumulation) restarted in late April 2026. Both occupy the same A05 wellhead, sidetracked into two separate compartments.

Brown was the first sidetrack of the original A5 well (drilled to total depth but plugged back for the Brown sidetrack). Boyle was the second sidetrack. Both sidetracks produce concurrently with 25% from Brown and 75% from Boyle.

The work program entailed a simplification from the original 1970s design and equipment upgrades, including installation of a wind turbine.

The company completed partial decommissioning of non-productive through plugging and abandonment of two platform wells and two subsea wells.

Davy field lies in UK Offshore Blocks 49/30 and 53/05. Gas from the field is exported via pipelines to the Indefatigable 49/23AT platform then onto Bacton.

Perenco is operator of Davy field (72.22%) with partner RockRose (27.78 %).
