Afentra receives RSC for Block 3/24 offshore Angola

The block covers 545 sq km and contains five discoveries. It is estimated to include more than 130 MMbbl initial oil in place and 400 bcf initial gas in place.

Afentra PLC received formal approval of the risk service contract (RSC) for Block 3/24 offshore Angola.

The block covers 545 sq km and contains five discoveries. It is estimated to include more than 130 MMbbl initial oil in place and 400 bcf initial gas in place. Key discoveries include Palanca North East (tested at 6,000 bo/d), Goulongo (at 2,400 bo/d), Quissama (at 3,000 bo/d), Kuma (at 1,800 bo/d), and Cefo (at 1,150 bo/d and 32 MMcfd).

The previously developed Canuku field cluster within the block has produced up to 12,000 bo/d.

Afentra is operator of Block 3/24 (40%) with partners Maurel & Prom Angola SAS (40%) and Sonangol E&P (20%).
