MGM Energy Corp., Calgary, has spudded the East MacKay I-78 well targeting the Canol shale and Bluefish zone in the Central Mackenzie Valley of Canada’s Northwest Territories.

The company plans to drill to 2,050 m on Exploration License 466B and flow test both formations (OGJ Online, Nov. 4, 2011).
