Provincial firm Nalcor Energy Oil & Gas Inc. has spud Nalcor et al. Finnegan, second well in its Parsons Pond drilling program in western Newfoundland.

HOUSTON, Sept. 9 – Provincial firm Nalcor Energy Oil & Gas Inc. has spud Nalcor et al. Finnegan, second well in its Parsons Pond drilling program in western Newfoundland.

The first well, Nalcor et al. Seamus, is set for further testing this fall. It was spudded on Feb. 16, 2010, and reached the planned total depth of 3,160 m in May 2010.

Nalcor Energy has an average 67% gross working interest in three onshore exploration permits on the island’s west coast. The four other partners with varying holdings in three permits are Leprechaun Resources Ltd., Deer Lake Oil & Gas Inc., Investcan Energy Corp., and Vulcan Minerals Inc.
