HOUSTON, Sept. 2
– Petrodorado Energy Ltd., Calgary, is launching a three-well exploratory drilling program on the Buganviles and Talora blocks in Colombia’s Upper Magdalena Valley basin.

Petrodorado, operator with 55% beneficial interest, plans to spud the El Verdal-1 well Sept. 12 on the Talora block to 6,520 ft to target the Cretaceous Tetun and Caballos formations.

The Visure-1X well is to spud Sept. 13 on the Buganviles block toward 3,600 ft to the Cretaceous Lower and Upper Guadalupe and Barzalosa formations, and the Tuqueque-1X well is to spud Sept. 29 to 8,500 ft or Tetun and Caballos.

Petrodorado’s beneficial interests are 49.5% in Visure and 45% in Tuqueque after performing earn-in commitments.
