BW Energy adds compression to BW Adolo FPSO for Tortue wells
BW Energy Ltd. has started the new gas lift compressor (GLC) on the BW Adolo floating production, storage, and offloading (FPSO) vessel offshore Gabon following commissioning and a gradual ramp up of gas lift capacity over recent weeks.
The compressor is the second GLC unit installed on the FPSO to support production from six Tortue wells. Once fully operational it is expected to add about 3,000 b/d (OGJ Online, June 15, 2023).
Oil produced at the Hibiscus-Ruche Phase 1 development campaign in the Dussafu Marin license will be processed on the FPSO together with established Tortue production before offloading to oil tankers (OGJ Online, Apr. 3, 2023).
BW Energy Gabon is operator of the Dussafu license (73.5%) with partners Panoro Energy (17.5%) and Gabon Oil Co. (9%).
