Tamboran Resources Corp. completed the 2025 Shenandoah South drilling program in EP 98 in Beetaloo sub-basin, Northern Territory, Australia.
The program, the largest conducted in the basin, the operator said in a release Oct. 15, included batch drilling of Shenandoah South-4H (SS-4H), -5H and -6H wells, each with a 10,000-ft target lateral length. The three wells have been successfully cased and suspended ahead of stimulation activities, Tamboran said.
The average spud-to-TD across the program was 26.7 days, with drilling and casing time delivered within the 35-day forecast. Anti-vibration drilling technology allowed Tamboran to drill its fastest horizontal section in the Mid Velkerri B Shale to date, with the SS-6H well reaching over 1,100 m (3,603 ft) in a day.
Tamboran plans to complete the SS-4H well in fourth-quarter 2025. The program includes up to 60 stimulated stages across the full 10,000-ft horizontal section. SS-4H will be flow tested for 30 days before being shut-in for future gas sales. The remaining two wells, plus the reinforced SS-3H well, will be stimulated in first-half 2026.
The wells will supply gas to the Northern Territory network under the long-term agreement with the Northern Territory Government. First gas sales are on track for mid-2026.
