Tower Resources Cameroon SA (TRCSA) issued a letter of award to Advanced Energy Systems SAE for a jack-up rig to drill the NJOM-3 well on the Thali license in Rio del Rey basin offshore Cameroon.

The letter is subject to conditions, including government approvals in Cameroon and completion of TRCSA's farm-out to Prime Global Energies Ltd. The expected spud date is fourth-quarter 2025.

The proposed rig is the Admarine 510, a GustoMSC CJ-46-X100-D triangular design three-legged jack-up unit built in 2019 and capable of operating in water depth up to 375 ft. It is now completing a 5-year recertification in Bahrain. The rig also has been awarded a contract with Addax Petroleum for operations in Cameroon to begin late this year, and it is intended that the rig will drill the NJOM-3 well for Tower before beginning operations with Addax Petroleum.

Tower Resources Cameroon SA is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tower Resources plc and holds 100% interest in the shallow water Thali production sharing contract.
