Masirah Oil spuds Yumna-5 well

Masirah Oil Ltd. has spudded the Yumna-5 well in Block 50, offshore Oman.

Masirah Oil Ltd. (MOL) has spudded a well in Yumna field, Block 50, offshore Oman.

Yumna-5 was drilled by the Energy Emerger jack-up drilling rig to the crest of the structure to drain attic oil left un-swept by the current producers (OGJ Online, Mar. 1, 2024). The well is part of a multi-well program which also includes workover of Yumna-2 and Yumna-3 production wells.

The drilling campaign will take about 90 days.

MOL is operator with 100% interest in Block 50.
