INEOS E&P lets drilling contract for Danish North Sea

INEOS E&P AS has let a contract to Maersk Drilling Co. for the Maersk Resolve harsh-environment jack up to drill two development wells at Solsort field and perform well intervention work on two wells within the Siri cluster in the Danish North Sea.

INEOS E&P AS has let a contract to Maersk Drilling Co. for the Maersk Resolve harsh-environment jack up to drill two development wells at Solsort field and perform well intervention work scopes on two wells within the Siri cluster in the Danish North Sea.

The contract includes options to add drilling or plugging and abandonment work scopes at up to nine additional wells.

The contract is expected to commence first-half 2023 with an estimated duration of 322 days and firm contract value of about $34 million, including additional services provided.

Maersk Resolve is a 350 ft, Gusto-engineered MSC CJ50 high-efficiency jack up rig delivered in 2009. It is currently operating in the UK North Sea for Spirit Energy Ltd.
