Vår Energi granted Barents Sea drilling permit

Vår Energi AS has been granted a drilling permit by the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate for two exploration wells in the Barents Sea.

Vår Energi AS has been granted a drilling permit by the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate for two exploration wells in the Barents Sea.

Wells 7122/8-1 S and 7122/9-1 in production licenses (PL) 229 and 229E, respectively, will be drilled by the Transocean Enabler semisubmersible drilling rig.

Vår Energi is operator at PL 229 with 65% interest. Partner is Equinor Energy AS (35%). Vår Energi is operator at PL 229E with 50% interest. Partner is ABP Norway AS (50%).
