    TotalEnergies spuds deepwater Namibia well

    TotalEnergies SE has spudded the Venus-1X offshore exploration well in Namibia Block 2913B (PEL 56), offshore southern Namibia. The well is being drilled in 3,000 m of water by the Maersk Voyager drillship.

    TotalEnergies EP Namibia BV, a wholly owned subsidiary of TotalEnergies, is operator of the block (40%) with partners QatarEnergy (30%), Impact Oil & Gas Ltd. (20%), and the Namibian state oil company (NAMCOR, 10%).
