bp and partner Wintershall Dea have let a contract to Subsea Integration Alliance—a nonincorporated partnership of Subsea 7 SA and OneSubsea—for the Raven field infills project, offshore Egypt.
The contract scope is for a two-well tie-back in the West Nile Delta block and includes the engineering, procurement, transport, and installation of about 6 km of flexible pipes, umbilical, and associated subsea structures in water depths of about 800 m.
Project management and engineering have begun and will be managed from Subsea7 offices in France, the UK, and Portugal, the service provider said in a release May 3.
bp began gas production from Raven, the fifth field of the offshore West Nile Delta project off the Mediterranean coast, in April 2021 (OGJ Online, Apr. 26, 2021).
bp is operator at Raven with 82.75% interest. Wintershall Dea holds 17.25%.
