Cairn Oil & Gas, Vedanta Ltd., let an integrated production services contract to National Energy Services Reunited Corp. (NESR), Houston, to help enhance production from existing wells across the 3,111-sq km Rajasthan block in the Barmer district of India.

Beginning by this year’s third quarter, the contract scope spans coiled tubing, high-rate pumping, wireline, TCP, slickline, thru-tubing services, well testing, wellhead maintenance, heating services, completion fluids and equipment, hydraulic fracturing and stimulation chemicals across the block’s Mangala, Bhagyam, Aishwarya, Barmer Hill, and satellite fields.

Cumulative production from the block has surpassed 500 million bbl. A full field enhanced oil recovery polymer flood project has been implemented, which has helped maintain production. A large alkaline surfactant polymer flood project is also under implementation.

Cairn continues to work toward its goal to contribute 50% of India’s crude oil production.
