US President Donald Trump nominated Andrew Wheeler to lead the US Environmental Protection Agency. Wheeler became EPA’s acting administrator on July 5, 2018, following E. Scott Pruitt’s resignation. He previously served as its deputy administrator.

Wheeler’s Jan. 9 nomination as administrator will require the US Senate’s confirmation.
