Eni enters waste-conversion partnership

Eni SPA has signed a partnership agreement with NextChem, Maire Tecnimont’s green chemistry subsidiary, to become codeveloper of technology to produce hydrogen and methanol from solid urban waste and nonrecyclable plastic.

Eni SPA has signed a partnership agreement with NextChem, Maire Tecnimont’s green chemistry subsidiary, to become codeveloper of technology to produce hydrogen and methanol from solid urban waste and nonrecyclable plastic.

Eni and NextChem will assess technical and financial impacts of the high-temperature gasification technology, which could be used at the oil and gas company’s industrial sites in Italy.
