Operations resume at Louisiana complex

Axiall Corp. has repaired the damage caused by a December 2013 fire at its vinyl chloride monomer manufacturing plant at the company’s chemicals complex in Lake Charles, La. (OGJ Online, Dec. 26, 2013).

All of the damage resulting from the Dec. 20, 2013, fire has been repaired, and the plant has resumed operations, Axiall said.

The company said it expects the plant to reach full operating rates in May.
