Large biodiesel plant planned in Indiana

Louis Dreyfus Agriculture Industries LLC plans to build a 250,000 gpd biodiesel plant near Claypool in northeastern Indiana.

HOUSTON, Mar. 14 -- Louis Dreyfus Agriculture Industries LLC plans to build a 250,000 gpd biodiesel plant near Claypool in northeastern Indiana.

The plant will be built in two phases. The first phase will include a 50-million bushel/year soybean processing plant, and the second phase includes a biodiesel production facility. The plant will use Indiana soybeans.

Indiana has are two other biodiesel plans and six ethanol plants under construction.
