Gazprom nearing completion of Far East natural gas pipeline

OAO Gazprom is nearing completion of a project to expand the Sakhalin–Khabarovsk–Vladivostok gas trunkline between Komsomolsk-on-Amur and Khabarovsk in Russia’s Far East.

OAO Gazprom is nearing completion of a project to expand the Sakhalin–Khabarovsk–Vladivostok gas trunkline between Komsomolsk-on-Amur and Khabarovsk in Russia’s Far East. About 376 of 390.8 km of the linear section (including backup strings and submerged crossings) have been welded, laid, and backfilled. Construction and installation operations are expe3cted to be complete this year.

The new section will supply gas to consumers in Khabarovsk Territory, and establish new connections for consumers receiving gas via the Okha – Komsomolsk-on-Amur gas pipeline, which is slated for potential decommissioning (OGJ Online, Feb. 21, 2021).
