ADIPEC 2026: ADNOC Gas to supply TotalEnergies with 1.6 million tonnes of LNG

The agreement coincides with Abu Dhabi National Oil Co. (ADNOC) advancing its new integrated LNG marketing and trading platform, which combines ADNOC Gas’ and wholly owned international investment company XRG’s marketing activities with ADNOC Trading.

ADNOC Gas PLC and its subsidiaries have reached a 5-year supply agreement with TotalEnergies SE totaling up to 1.6 million tonnes of LNG, starting in 2026. The agreement coincides with Abu Dhabi National Oil Co. (ADNOC) advancing its new integrated LNG marketing and trading platform, which combines ADNOC Gas’ and wholly owned international investment company XRG’s marketing activities with ADNOC Trading.

ADNOC intends to transact 47 million tonnes/year (tpy) of LNG through the platform beyond 2030. The company, which is currently hosting Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition & Conference (ADIPEC), earlier this week took final investment decision on its Ruwais Diyab unconventional gas development.

TotalEnergies, meanwhile, acquired an operated interest in the Lang Lebah-B14 gas resource being developed offshore Malaysia as part of an effort to create a large-scale in-country gas hub with which to supply the 30-million tpy Malaysia LNG plant.

Malaysia LNG is operated by state-owned Petroliam Nasional Berhad (Petronas).
