Glenfarne Group LLC has let a contract to Kiewit Offshore Services for work on the Texas LNG export plant being developed in the Port of Brownsville, Tex.

Upon Notice to Proceed, Kiewit Offshore Services will fabricate the project’s liquefication, pretreatment, and pipe rack modules at its yard in Ingleside, Tex.

"Derisking module supply via US fabrication avoids tariffs, geopolitical risks, heavy-lift shipping, Panama Canal transit, and helps ensure quality control," said Brendan Duval, Glenfarne chief executive officer and founder.

Glenfarne and Kiewit recently completed the execution of the EPC contract for Texas LNG following fourteen months of pre-FID engineering work. Texas LNG remains on schedule for a second quarter 2026 final investment decision.

Earlier this year, Texas LNG Brownsville LLC, part of Glenfarne Group LLC, signed a definitive 20-year agreement for LNG supply from the 4-million tpy Texas LNG export plant to be constructed in the Port of Brownsville, Tex., finalizing conversion of all of Texas LNG’s previously noted Heads of Agreements to fully binding long-term definitive offtake agreements.

At the time Vlad Bluzer, partner at Glenfarne, and co-president Texas LNG, said that with the completion of offtake negotiations, the company was focused on finalizing financing process ahead of an expected final investment decision on the project in “early 2026.”
