German LNG terminal has selected Burckhardt Compression AG to supply boil-off gas and pipeline injection compressors for its 10-billion cu m/year regasification terminal under development in Brunsbüttel, Germany.

German LNG—a joint venture of Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau, Dutch gas network operator NV Nederlandse Gasunie, and RWE AG—expects to start regular operations in 2027.

The terminal has been designed to also be able to import ammonia.

The 750-MMscfd floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) Hoegh Gannett is currently importing gas through Brunsbüttel, operated by German-state Deutsche Energy Terminal GMBH. The vessel has storage capacity of 170,000 cu m.
