Shell unit signs transport agreement with General Maritime

Shell International Trading & Shipping Co. Ltd., the principal trading and shipping business of the Royal Dutch/Shell Group, has signed a contract of affreightment with General Maritime Corp., New York, to transport Shell oil cargos in its Aframax and Suezmax fleet in the Western Hemisphere.

HOUSTON, Jan. 12 -- Shell International Trading & Shipping Co. Ltd., the principal trading and shipping business of the Royal Dutch/Shell Group, has signed a contract of affreightment with General Maritime Corp., New York, to transport Shell oil cargos in its Aframax and Suezmax fleet in the Western Hemisphere.

Liftings have already begun, General Maritime said.
