HOUSTON, Jan. 2 -- Venezuela's Interconnection Centro Occidente natural gas pipeline, which experienced a rupture at a joint on Dec. 6, 2006, is under repair and likely to remain shut-in until early February.

The 36-in, 70-km line carries gas from the East Falcon fields to the Paraguana Peninsula refining complex.

The PetroCumarebo mixed company began shipping 10 MMcfd of gas into the ICO pipeline last year from Cumarebo field (OGJ Online, Aug. 8, 2006).

Cumarebo field, temporarily shut-in, is operated by the PetroCumarebo mixed company, a joint venture of Petroleos de Venezuela SA (60%) and Vinccler Oil & Gas CA, a subsidiary of PetroFalcon Corp., Carpinteria, Calif. (40%).
