Plains All American Pipeline buys East Texas crude storage facility

Plains All American Pipeline LP, Houston, has acquired a crude oil storage facility from Calumet Lubricants Co., Indianapolis, Ind., for $1 million.

HOUSTON, Oct. 10 -- Plains All American Pipeline LP, Houston, has acquired a crude oil storage facility from Calumet Lubricants Co., Indianapolis, Ind., for $1 million.

The Atlas Tank facility, with 300,000 bbl of storage capacity, is near Longview, Tex.

Plains All American said the assets will augment its gathering, marketing, and pipeline transportation activities in East Texas.

The company plans minor facilities modifications to Atlas Tank.

Plains All American Pipeline LP is engaged in interstate and intrastate oil transportation, terminals and storage, gathering, and marketing activities, primarily in Texas, California, Oklahoma, Louisiana, the Gulf of Mexico, Alberta, and Saskatchewan.

Calumet Lubricants makes naphthenic specialty oils.
