Sinopec starts underground gas storage

Sinopec has begun storing natural gas in a depleted gas reservoir at a facility in central eastern China known as Zhongyuan Wen 96.

Sinopec has begun storing natural gas in a depleted gas reservoir at a facility in central eastern China known as Zhongyuan Wen 96.

Capacity of the facility is to be expanded to 430 million cu m, with 150 million cu ft of working gas.

It’s Sinopec’s first underground gas storage program.
