Pertamina places order for two newbuild oil tankers

PT Nanindah Mutiara Shipyard and another Pertamina unit have placed an order with Singapore-based Labroy Marine Ltd. for the construction of two new oil product tankers, OPECA News Agency reported.

HOUSTON, Aug. 18 -- PT Nanindah Mutiara Shipyard, a unit of Indonesian state oil and natural gas firm Pertamina, and another Pertamina unit have placed an order with Singapore-based Labroy Marine Ltd. for the construction of two new oil product tankers, OPECA News Agency reported.
Labroy signed the $17.21 million shipbuilding contracts with the two Pertamina subsidiaries for the construction of a 6,500 dwt oil product tanker and one that will be 3,500 dwt, OPECNA said.
The tankers are expected to be delivered in 18 months, Labroy said in a statement.
