Shell Australia lets contract for Prelude FLNG project

Shell Australia has let a 3-year contract to Wood Group Kenny, Perth, for the Prelude floating LNG (FLNG) project to be located 475 km north-northeast of Broome in Western Australia.

Shell Australia Pty Ltd. has let a 3-year contract to Wood Group Kenny, Perth, for the Prelude floating LNG (FLNG) project to be located 475 km north-northeast of Broome in Western Australia.

Wood Group Kenny will provide specialist consultancy services for flexible riser integrity management prior to and during operation of Prelude FLNG.

The contract’s focus will be the development and implementation of the flexible riser integrity management plan, as well as inspection, monitoring, testing and on-call engineering support.

This is the second contract Shell has let to Wood Group in the past 6 months. In August 2015, Wood Group PSN started a 5-year, multimillion contract to provide integrated engineering, construction, maintenance and industrial services to Shell’s four onshore oil fields in Gabon: Rabi, Gamba, Toucan, and Koula.
