Chief Technology Editor- LNG/Gas Processing

Currently Chief Technology Editor—LNG/Gas Processing for Oil & Gas Journal, Houston. After joining OGJ in 1982 as Associate Technical Editor, he served as Pipeline Editor 1984-2004, adding gas-processing coverage in 1985. In 2004, his coverage changed to include LNG; he was editor of OGJ’s quarterly LNG Observer 2004-07. As an OGJ editorial manager, he oversees the duties of three other editors.

Previously, he had served as editorial coordinator for major oilfield services company Hydril Co., manager for hospital information at The University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, assistant professor of technical and professional writing at Texas Tech University, Lubbock, and assistant professor of English at Stephen F. Austin State University, Nacogdoches, Tex.

True has also served as adjunct faculty in the University of Houston System, University Park and Clear Lake campuses, teaching advanced writing and literature. And he has conducted technical writing and editing workshops at petroleum-industry technical conferences.

True holds three degrees in English: a B.A. from Centenary College of Louisiana, an M.A. from Stephen F. Austin State University, and a Ph.D. from the University of Tennessee.
