A recognized corporate leader in Central Texas, Drillinginfo has received various accolades from the community. The Austin, TX-based technology solutions company has been named one of Austin's 50 Fastest Growing Private Companies by the Austin Business Journal 10 times and has been named by the Austin American-Statesman to its Best Places to Work list four years in a row. The company, which services more than 3,200 companies globally with employees on five continents, attributes its growth and success not only to the data and analytics provided for energy exploration decision support, but to its employees, many of whom are recruited from the Austin community.
As a way to support the community it holds in high regard, Drillinginfo has participated in the city's Amplify Austin campaign, a 24-hour "festival of giving" put on by the I Live Here, I Give Here organization, since its inception in 2013. The campaign, held in March, aims to help hundreds of non-profits raise money to meet critical needs in the community.
In 2014, over 91% of Austin-based Drillinginfo employees donated to the campaign, raising $46,245 for local charities. The participation helped earn the SaaS and data analytics company the number one spot among Business Fundraisers in Amplify Austin for the second year running.
With 498 participating non-profits, companies participating in Business Fundraisers encouraged employees to donate to the non-profit of their choice. Organizations participating in 2014 included Hospice Austin, YMCA of Austin, and Boys and Girls Clubs of Austin.
"We're thrilled that Drillinginfo and other members of the Austin business community have joined forces with individual donors and their employees to amplify giving for Central Texas," said Tom Spencer, executive director of I Live Here, I Give Here.
Debuted in 2013, Amplify Austin encourages the entire community to help fill funding gaps for crucial services provided by area non-profits. Since the first campaign, the organization has raised over $8.5 million for hundreds of local nonprofits by offering the community a way to give to charities of their choice-charities of all sizes in all areas of service.
This year, the organization expects more than 500 nonprofits to participate in the 2015 Amplify Austin campaign set to take place in the 24-hour-period from Thursday, March 5, to Friday, March 6.
"As a company that was founded and continues to be headquartered in Austin, we felt it was our duty and privilege to give back to the organizations that do such a great job of supporting our city," said Allen Gilmer, co-founder, chairman, and CEO of Drillinginfo. "Participating in Amplify Austin is a cause near and dear to my heart, and it makes me proud to see our employees giving so generously to local causes."
