International legal practice SNR Denton is focused on its clients in key business and financial centers from more than 60 locations in 43 countries through offices, associate firms and special alliances across the US, the UK, Europe, the Middle East, Russia and the CIS, Asia Pacific and Africa. The firm serves business, government and institutional clients in eight key industry sectors: Energy, Transport and Infrastructure; Financial Institutions and Funds; Government; Health and Life Sciences; Insurance; Manufacturing; Real Estate, Retail and Hotels; and Technology, Media and Telecommunications.

A partner in the firm's Washington DC office and co-head of its Energy, Transport and Infrastructure (ETI) sector, Clint Vince was recently honored by the Women's Council on Energy and the Environment (WCEE) with the organization's 2012 Champion Award.

WCEE is a non-partisan, member-driven, policy-neutral organization that focuses on women, energy and the environment. The organization serves to foster the personal and professional growth and leadership abilities of its members by providing quality and creative forums for dialogues on substantive issues and by providing access to substantive information, ideas, decision-makers and leaders.

The Champion Award, created in 1998, serves to recognize the importance of mentors for women professionals and to honor those individuals who have championed the advancement of women in energy and environment.

Vince was voted WCEE's 2012 Champion by the organization's board of directors in January. He received the award at WCEE's Woman of the Year Reception and Dinner Gala on March 8 in Washington, DC.

Vince's passion for energy and environmental issues is evident in his work, accomplishments, and honors spanning his 30 year career.

His experience involves major project development, legislative and regulatory advocacy on behalf of public and private clients, and litigation and appellate cases including US Supreme Court advocacy.

He is at the forefront of global energy developments and handles high profile cases in the industry. He is widely recognized for his cutting-edge theories and solutions within the energy industry and has a top-tier litigation track record.

Vince and his team of ETI professionals were awarded as a "Most Dynamic Energy Practice" and Vince himself has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America and Washington, DC, Super Lawyers.

Adding to his credentials is a recently-completed two-year term as co-chair of the Keystone Center, a policy think-tank known for its work in the energy and environmental fields.

As the city of New Orleans' lead federal trial counsel for nearly three decades, he is credited with helping to save more than $2 billion for the ratepayers of the city and assisting with the rebuilding of the city's electric and natural gas systems that were devastated by Hurricane Katrina.

Currently, as chair of SNR Denton's Energy, Environment and Resources practice in the US, he has directed the team's expansion into a practice with more than 350 members in 43 counties offering a full range of services to energy industry clients.

Vince has brought his experience and insight to the women of WCEE, and just as he has seen and helped SNR Denton grow, he has helped WCEE grow.

"I have gigantic respect for WCEE. They are an organization that grew from a small group, when a number of us first started to support it, to a mighty group that has mentored women across the country in a wonderful way," said Vince.

"This organization fulfills a necessary agenda of fostering growth and career development of women in the energy and environmental industries; I take great pride in being affiliated with WCEE and this award."
