HOUSTON, Feb. 25 – EnerGulf Resources Inc., Houston, let a contract to Geophysical Institute of Israel to shoot 2D seismic in July 2010 on the 475-sq km Lotshi Block in the coastal salt basin off Congo (Brazzaville).
The contract replaces an earlier agreement with Central Geophysical Expedition. The institute has shot three seismic surveys for Roc Oil Co. Ltd on the Cabinda South Block off Angola just south of Lotshi’s western boundary.
Lotshi is on trend with giant M’Boundi field onshore and is close to the Chevron-operated offshore Cabinda, Malongo, and Takula giant field complexes and Perenco’s Congo fields.
