HOUSTON, May 26
-- Calgary independents have identified two gas development projects in a nonproducing basin in Payette County northwest of Boise, Idaho, and are evaluating pipeline tie-in options.

Development drilling will alternate between the two areas in batches with a total of as many as 10 wells in 2010. In addition to the two development projects, the companies have added acreage and expect to continue exploration with a second seismic program and exploratory drilling in this year’s fourth quarter.

Seismic permitting is under way for the Willow development project, identified by the M.L. Investments discovery well in 10-8n-4w, said Bridge Resources Corp. and Paramax Resources Ltd.

The well tested at 4.5 MMcfd of gas with 54 b/d of 61.5° gravity condensate from an undisclosed formation. Subsequent evaluation of downhole pressures indicates that the well’s production capacity is several times the rate tested on the 3/8-in. choke. Gas is sweet with 1,150 Btu/Mcf.

Seismic is to be shot and processed by the end of July.

Two other wells, Espino 1-2, in 2-7n-4w, and State 1-17, in 17-7n-4w, defined the Hamilton development project. Espino 1-2 tested 500 Mcfd of gas, and State 1-17 tested 1.4 MMcfd from sands above 1,882 ft.

The companies expect higher production rates than these natural flow rates with future use of nondamaging mud and minor stimulation. Gas is sweet and dry with 1,050 Btu/Mcf. Development drilling is to start in July.

Island Capitol 1-19, in 19-9n-3w, tested high water cut. The companies will save the wellbore for future sidetrack to a structurally higher subsurface location.
