HOUSTON, May 5 – Oculis Investments Sp zoo, a subsidiary of San Leon Energy PLC, Dublin, was awarded 100% interest in the 603-sq km Szczawno concession in the Baltic basin onshore northern Poland.
The award gives San Leon access to a third area highly prospective for gas in Paleozoic shales. The license is spread across the northern half of license blocks 151 and 152.
The license is valid for as long as 5 years. The work program is for geological studies, seismic acquisition, and one well, with an option for a 3D seismic survey and two more wells.
The award completes the third license in a farmout agreement with Talisman Energy Inc., San Leon Energy said.
