HOUSTON, July 20
– Vista Resources Inc., Pittsburgh, has drilled more than 800 wells in Sandy Lake dry gas field, Mercer County, Pa., through May 2010 since 1990.

The company and three partners acquired the field in 1989 when it had 32 producing wells, a pipeline, and 60-80 undeveloped locations. The field produces from Silurian Medina sandstone at 5,500 ft.

Vista’s wells have produced more than 48 bcf of gas, and the company has built more than 100 miles of gathering lines and installed three compressor stations. Some 100-150 drillable well locations remain in the field.
