Mitra Energy (Indonesia Sibaru) Ltd. has spudded the Mojo-1 exploratory well on the Sibaru block in the East Java Sea off Indonesia.

HOUSTON, July 27 – Mitra Energy (Indonesia Sibaru) Ltd. has spudded the Mojo-1 exploratory well on the Sibaru block in the East Java Sea off Indonesia.

The Trident IX jackup is to drill the well, first to be drilled by Mitra Energy as operator, to 5,950 ft subsea in 206 ft of water targeting a primary objective in Tertiary Kujung limestones and a secondary objective in Ngimbang sand.
