HOUSTON, July 26
– Alange Energy Corp., Toronto, has spudded the Topoyaco-1 exploratory well on the Topoyaco block in Colombia’s Putumayo basin.

The well is projected to 6,365 ft measured depth. The next well, Topoyaco-2, is to go to 8,510 ft measured depth. Both are to evaluate the Villeta and Caballos formations on overthrust blocks. A third well is to be drilled on the largest prospect, a subthrust block.
