Rockhopper Exploration PLC was reassigned operation of the Ocean Guardian semisubmersible on July 21 and is moving the rig to its Ernest prospect on the PL024 license in the North Falkland basin.

HOUSTON, July 22 -- Rockhopper Exploration PLC was reassigned operation of the Ocean Guardian semisubmersible on July 21 and is moving the rig to its Ernest prospect on the PL024 license in the North Falkland basin.

Drilling the Ernest 26/6-1 exploration well is expected to take 30 days. Rockhopper has 100% working interest.

On completion of the Ernest well, the rig is expected to move to test Rockhopper’s Sea Lion 14/10-2 indicated discovery well.
