HOUSTON, July 20 – A workover is planned at Tindalo-1 in mid to late August to reduce or end water cut that totals 70-80% of total fluid production, but the well’s testing and pressure data confirm preproduction oil in place estimates of a most-likely 11 million bbl, said TG World Energy Corp., Calgary.
The well’s cumulative production of more than 135,000 bbl is stored on the FSO, and the first crude oil sale of 200,000-250,000 bbl is set for mid-August from the field on SC 54 off Northwest Palawan. Buyers have shown genuine interest in the crude after a preliminary assay indicated a high value product, TG World said.
Tests since early June have been at the rate of 16,000-18,000 b/d of fluid on electric submersible pump including 4,000-5,000 b/d of oil. The 135-140-m oil column is confirmed. The Aquamarine Driller jackup, already on site, will handle the workover.
