– OGX Petroleo e Gas Participacoes SA, Rio de Janeiro, encountered a 128-m oil column with 42 m of net pay in the Aptian section of the 1-OGX-20-RJS well in the BM-C-41 block in the Campos basin off Brazil.

The Aptian discovery follows earlier discoveries of hydrocarbons in the Maastrichtian and Albian sections as the OGX-20 well was drilled. Drilling of OGX-20, on the Tupungato prospect, continues to a proposed depth of 4,000 m.

The Ocean Ambassador rig is drilling the well in 130 m of water 85 km off Rio de Janeiro. OGX has 100% interest in the block.
