HOUSTON, June 14
-- Storm Ventures International Inc., Calgary, said the Fushia-1 exploratory well on the Hammamet Offshore permit off Tunisia is likely to be subeconomic, having discovered a 15-m gas column in Miocene Birsa sandstones. TD is 2,959 m.

Logging while drilling indicates 30% porosity and 85% gas saturation. Gas samples are being obtained and reservoir pressure measured. All other sandstones in the Birsa formation appear to be water saturated.

Completion of the well operation fulfills all work requirements on the block.
