HOUSTON, June 1
– Oil flowed to surface at 11 a.m. Manila time May 30 from the Tindalo-1 well on SC 54A off Palawan Island in the Philippines, said operator Nido Petroleum Ltd., Manila.

An extensive drillstem test program will be run to enable reservoir fluid and crude assay sampling and to assess production performance over a range of production conditions.

The October 2008 Tindalo discovery well is in 100 m of water. The reservoir is a Miocene pinnacle reef with a 124-144 m oil column (OGJ Online, Dec. 14, 2009). TD is 1,875 m.

Interests in the service contract area Nido Petroleum Philippines Pty. Ltd., operator with 42.4%, Kairiki Energy Ltd.’s Yilgarn Petroleum Philippines Pty. Ltd. 30.1%, Trafigura Ventures III BV 15%, and TG World (BVI) Corp. 12.5%.
