HOUSTON, Nov. 1 -- Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co ‘s partnership with Premier Natural Resources has purchased long-lived Wilcox gas producing wells in southeast Texas in the partnership’s first transactions.

KKR in February 2010 formed a partnership to acquire and develop oil and gas assets with Premier. Founded in June 2006 by former executives of Vintage Petroleum Inc., Premier operates a portfolio of assets located in the Texas Gulf Coast and the Permian basin and has experience operating assets in most major US producing basins.
