HOUSTON, Nov. 11 – E.ON Ruhrgas E&P gauged gas-condensate at the Zemlet Chergui-1 extension well in the Berkine basin 250 km southeast of Hassi Messaoud, Algeria.
The well on the 1,091 sq km Rhourde Yacoub exploration block flowed at rates of 16.5 MMcfd of gas and 700 b/d of condensate with 3,500 psi flowing wellhead pressure on a 32/64-in. choke from the Tournaisian F1-A formation.
E.ON Ruhrgas is operator with 49% interest in the block, and Algeria’s state Sonatrach has 51%.
