HOUSTON, Nov. 5
– Petromanas Energy Inc., Calgary, completed shooting 105 line-km of 2D seismic on blocks D and E and continues shooting 140 line-km on blocks 2 and 3 in Albania.

The work on blocks 2 and 3 will provide valuable data near the undeveloped 2001 Shpiragu subthrust light oil and sour gas discovery in Block 2. The majority of the seismic work will be carried out with heliportable shot-hole rigs and the rest with conventional shallow drilling rigs.

Geologic work conducted so far has further confirmed large potential in shallow and deep prospects, the company said. It plans to farm out some deep target plays to industry partners. Drilling could occur in 2011.

Petromanas has 100% working interest in blocks A, B, D, E, 2, and 3 that total more than 1.7 million acres onshore in Albania’s Berati thrust belt.
