HOUSTON, Jan. 12 – San Leon Energy PLC said its Vabush Energy subsidiary was awarded the 1,168 sq km Nida concession in the Malpolska block in southern Poland.
San Leon Energy said it gains access to a proven fairway of underexplored conventional oil potential in lower risk targets in Upper Cretaceous sandstones and Jurassic reefs at less than 1,000 m in parts of blocks 353, 354, 373, 374, and 393.
The concession is valid for as long as 5 years. The work program includes geological studies, seismic acquisition, and drilling one well. A 3D seismic survey and a second well are optional.
The Nida Trough acreage, the company’s fifth block in Poland, is on trend with Plawowice and Grobla oil fields
