HOUSTON, Mar. 25 – PetroLatina Energy PLC plans to connect the reworked 1991 Serafin-1 gas well to the main Colombian gas trunk line and for production to start in the last quarter of 2010.
The well, in the Tisquirama block in the Middle Magdalena Valley, flowed at the rate of 14 MMcfd of gas after a workover in January 2007. Initial production is estimated at as much as 7 MMscfd from 3.13 bcf of proved reserves. Current gas market price is $5-6/Mcf.
The gas is in the Miocene Real Group at 4,582-98-ft (OGJ Online, Dec. 6, 2006).
