HOUSTON, Mar. 23
– Calgary independents Bridge Resources Corp. and Paramax Resources Ltd. have spud the second exploration well in an Idaho Boise basin program after setting production casing at the first well.

A completion rig will be summoned after the first three wells have been drilled.

The Bridge-Paramax M.L. Investments 1-10, in NE NW 10-8n-4w, Payette County, went to a total depth of 6,800 ft in 10 days and far under budget, Paramax said. It had numerous hydrocarbon shows while drilling, and logs indicate the presence of several hydrocarbon-bearing zones.

The second well, Espinoso 1-2, in NE SE 2-7n-4w, Payette County, 10 km south of the M.L. Investments well, is projected to 4,500 ft.

Other locations in the five-well program are the State 1-17, in NE NW 17-7n-4w; Schwarz 1-10, in NE NE 10-8n-2w; and Island Capitol 1-19, SE 19-9n-3w, all in Payette County.
