Benjamin Schlesinger and Associates becomes part of Galway Group

Galway Group LP, a Houston international energy and investment banking firm, has acquired Benjamin Schlesinger and Associates, a Bethesda, Md., energy regulatory and market development firm.

Galway Group LP, a Houston international energy and investment banking firm, has acquired Benjamin Schlesinger and Associates, a 25-year-old Bethesda, Md., energy, regulatory and market development firm.

Schlesinger and his organization will remain in the Washington area. He was a principal of Booz Allen Hamilton Inc., leading its natural gas industry practice, and vice president of policy evaluation and analysis at the American Gas Association before starting BSA in 1984.

He will become a Galway Group managing director and partner. The Houston company was founded in 2003. Its services include energy transactions and financing, and advisory services including business strategy development, contract negotiations, asset acquisitions and divestitures, project implementation oversight, and regulatory and litigation support.
