HOUSTON, Dec. 8
– Planned activity in mie-2010 on Blocks 7 and 11 in eastern Mali includes shooting, processing, and interpreting up to 354 line-km of 2D seismic in Block 11 and possibly shooting seismic in Block 7, said Centric Energy Corp., London.

Heritage Oil PLC operates the blocks with 75% interst, and Centric Energy holds 25% and is carried through the 2D seismic work program on both blocks and the first exploratory well.

The blocks total 18 million acres in the Gao graben, a Mesozoic-age rift basin with up to 15,000 ft of Cretaceous-age sediments. The rift basin is well defined by the interpretation of high-resolution aeromagnetic survey flown by Centric Energy in late 2007, totaling 42,000 km of flight lines, supported by 1976-vintage seismic data.
